National Life Insurance Company just launched ‘Investor Select’, a new variable universal life product. This Variable Universal Life product offers more flexibility and individual policy customization to meet a wide variety of personal and business insurance needs. The insurance product ‘Investor Select’ is sensitive to its market and was develop in response to current economic conditions.

New Variable Universal Life Product w/ More Insurance Riders

Investor Select has new funds and more ‘riders’. A life insurance ‘rider’ provides additional coverage for something specifically not covered with a primary policy. The rider is added to the primary policy and the policyholder pays an extra amount to cover the rider.

The variable universal life contract provides flexibility of death benefit and premiums combined with tax-deferred growth of cash values tied to the market performance of the sub-accounts. The new riders, ‘Other Insured Rider’, ‘Balance Sheet Benefit Rider’, and ‘Waiver of Specified Premium’, complement the already comprehensive suite of riders offered with other National Life products, including the ‘no additional cost accelerated benefit riders’ in case of a chronic or terminal illness.

“Investor Select complements National Life Group’s 2009 life and annuity portfolio as this product is specifically designed to provide flexibility and options with a focus on market performance,” states Matt DeSantos, Vice President of Marketing for National Life Group. “With the introduction of this product, National Life arms its agents with a broad product portfolio for all economic conditions.”

In addition, National Life also provides access to a professional asset allocation for the majority of its variable products which is available at no additional cost for policyholders. FundQuest, a Registered Investment Advisor, consistently reviews and periodically adjusts the model allocations to ensure it is consistent with the model’s risk tolerance and performance objectives.
